Nadal and Federer will play the final in London
The Spanish Rafael Nadal, the world’s first racket, and his bodyguard, Roger Federer will meet in dream final of the Masters Cup on Saturday after winning their commitments.
Nadal beat Andy Murray (5) in tough game for over three hours 7-6 (5), 3-6, 7-6 (6) to overcome the hesitation of the second set.
Instead, Federer easily realized by Serbian Novak Djokovic with a partial 6-1, 6-4 in the second semifinal.
Defending champion Nadal French Open and Wimbledon monarch and the U.S. Open, has never played in the final of the season-ending tournament with the top eight players in the world. And to win his first title of the competition will have to beat four-time champion today at the O2 Arena and swtor credits. In all, Federer has 16 titles in major tournaments.
Both Spanish and Murray were solid in the first set, but Nadal began to falter in the second after having taken the lead to 3-2. Murray won 17 of the 23 points below – and four straight games – to tie the score.
Nadal never wear again after the second set and had to push the limit to win the third set and the match in the round of the playoffs.
Murray won the tie in the first three points – two on Nadal’s serve – and appeared on track to victory. But the Spanish showed their lineage as a player and was recovered.
“It was an unbelievable match,”said Nadal, who this year won the U.S. Open and so said all four Grand Slam tournaments for the first time in his career but in different seasons.” It was a really tough match against one of the best players in the world.”
Murray said he also had a great meeting, but without the expected result. “It was a great tennis. I think we both played well from the start of the game.”
“I had a great game,”Murray said.” If it was the best game I played and lost, I do not know. But it was a great game.”
Federer was dominant as ever against Djokovic, and ended up extending his record to 13-6 lifetime against the Serbian.
The Swiss got a big 3-0 lead in the first set and then returned to break the Djokovic serve to make the score 5-1. But the Serb responded in the first play of the second set and broke serve to put Federer ahead 3-0.
However, the offensive did not last long, as the Swiss kept the serve, broke him again and put the score at 3-3.
Federer’s attack gave him another three points, but could not take advantage of three break points in the seventh game and Djokovic took the lead 4-3 with his powerful service.
After resisting, broke Federer’s serve again and took the match.
In doubles, Canadian Daniel Nestor and Serb Nenad Zimonjic, who are the second best pair will face in the final of the Indian Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi of Belarus (4).
First duo defeated the top seeds Bob and Mike Bryan of the United States with a partial 6-3, 3-6 and 12-10.
Bhupathi and Mirnyi won 6-4, 6-4 to the Polish pair Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski.
